Getting Started as an Installer

To become a GateControlX installer:

1. Contact our team through the Contact Us page or email admin@gatecontrolx.com
2. Our team will register you as an installer in our system
3. You'll receive your login credentials via email
4. Access the installer dashboard at https://gatecontrolx.com/dashboard/login/

Hikvision Setup Process

Step 1: Install the Proxy

1. Download and install the GateControlX Proxy on a Windows PC located inside the estate LAN
2. Ensure the proxy PC is always powered on and connected to the estate network
3. Once installed, the proxy will appear in your installer dashboard under the selected estate

Step 2: Create Estate

1. From your installer dashboard, click “+ Create Estate”
2. Fill in estate details: name, address, contact info, number of residences
3. Submit the estate — you’ll then link its first device via the proxy

Step 3: Link First Device

1. Go to the “Link Device” page for the estate
2. Select the estate and the installed Proxy (auto-populated)
3. Enter device details:
   • IP Address (device reachable on LAN)
   • Device Type (Entry or Exit)
   • Device Username (default: admin)
   • Device Password (stored securely in hashed form)
4. Save to link the device through the proxy

Step 4: Add More Devices

1. Go to the estate’s Device Management page
2. Repeat the linking process for each additional MinMoe terminal
3. Each device must be assigned a role (Entry or Exit)

Monitoring Your Estates

Your installer dashboard lets you:

• View all estates you’ve created
• See proxy connection status
• Monitor device status (online/offline)
• Access estate dashboards temporarily for setup
